Do you help with planning?

Our staff is known for being knowledgeable, flexible and easy to work with and will help you through every step of your planning process. We're happy to communicate via phone or email. We will even come to you for an in-person meeting to ensure you enjoy a seamless and efficient planning process.

Are you open year-round?

Yes.

Who can come to camp?

Any organized group is welcome–corporate groups, faith-based organizations, adult and youth groups, yoga groups, individual organizations, etc. We simply ask that each group selects a leader to work with us to build and personalize your Tamarack adventure experience.

How many people can I bring?

We can accommodate groups from 15 to over 500 participants. To ensure costs are covered, we request a billable minimum of 15 people for programming and 20 people for overnight stays/meals.

Do you offer overnight camps?

Absolutely. We love hosting groups for overnight and multiple-day trips. We keep a nice stock of wood for nightly campfires and s'mores.

Can we come for a single day?

You are more than welcome to come for a single day. We've heard that even our half day programs are quite engaging and beneficial field trips for organizations.

What is the cost?

Our coordinators can work with almost any budget to make a visit affordable for you. Please contact us to discuss your specific group needs, and we will provide a more detailed quote.

What about meals at camp – what are our options?

We have a full-service dining hall that serves hot meals to thousands of guests every year. We also have several picnic shelters that day groups use if they prefer to bring their own packed lunches.

Can you accommodate my dietary restriction?

We are proud to be able to accommodate just about any dietary need including vegetarian, vegan, nut free, gluten free, dairy free, ect. When your group books your time at camp we will send the group leader our dietary form for all participants to fill out individually which gets send strait to our dietitian. Butzel Conference Center

What is Butzel Conference Center?

Butzel is our tranquil retreat center located adjacent to our main camp property. While here your group will have exclusive access to the whole conference center, making it feel like your own little world. While it may feel remote, it has easy access from I-75 and is within 10 minutes of a town with anything you may need. is ideal for group gatherings, especially corporate seminars, professional development, community-minded groups, and staff training. What are the accommodations offered?

At Butzel Conference Center there is a main pavilion with a few meeting rooms, its own dining hall, a small game room and gym, and a chapel. There are 3 guest houses – each with 8 rooms all of which have a queen sized bed, a twin sized bed, and a roll-away twin sized bed (if needed), as well as its own full bath. Linens and towels are provided for every room, you just need to bring your own toiletries.

How do meals work?

Butzel has its own dining hall that will be just for your group. Once your booking is confirmed, we will send the menu with the meal choices for you to choose from. You are not required to have your meals provided by camp and are welcome to bring your own food into the pavilion and guesthouses, however as we are a kosher facility, outside food may not be brought into the dining hall. 

How does programming work?

Some of our Tamarack staff led programming can be facilitated at Butzel, while others will require participants to either walk or drive over to main camp. Our program options can be found in our program guide linked here:

 

Is there a minimum number of rooms a group must book?

Yes, there is a 16 room minimum in order to book Butzel Conference Center for your group.
