After operating as Tamarack Camps Outdoor Education in Ortonville for more than 50 years, the non-profit has rebranded its year-round, experiential team building, leadership training, and nature appreciation programs as the Tamarack Adventure and Retreat Center. Located on more than 1,100 acres in northern Oakland County, Tamarack Adventure and Retreat Center hosts schools, corporate teams, and recreational clubs for personalized programs during the day or overnight.
The Tamarack Adventure and Retreat Center programming guide includes more than 50 activities for groups to choose from, suitable for all ages. The facility also includes a full-time and seasonal staff with certifications in environmental education, team building, and outdoor living skills.
“With ropes courses, zip lines, a climbing tower and more, groups rely on each other in a way that encourages trust and cooperation,” says Tracy Aronoff, director of marketing for Tamarack Camps. “For more than five decades, we have been educating students, transforming corporate teams, and building leaders.
With our refreshed identity, we hope to be connecting more with organizations across SE Michigan and across the country, and soon be welcoming all of those who have yet to discover this hidden gem.”
